Phongsavanh Insurance (APA) Co., Ltd signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to provide free Personal Accident Insurance
On October 29, 2021, at National Blood Transfusion Center-Lao Red Cross. Our Silver Sponsor, Phongsavanh Insurance (APA) Co., Ltd (“Phongsavanh Insurance”) and National Blood Transfusion Center-Lao Red Cross signed a memorandum of cooperation to provide free Personal Accident Insurance to voluntary blood donors who donate blood at National blood transfusion center-Lao Red Cross. This will start from 1 November 2021 until it reaches 1,000 donors. This personal accident insurance provides free coverage 24/7 to individuals and reimburse for medical costs caused by accidents with a maximum coverage of LAK 5,000,000 for 01 year period.
The purpose of this support is because they care about the communities where they operate their business and to encourage people to donate blood due to shortage of blood so those who donate will receive the free Personal Accident insurance from Phongsavanh Insurance.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was honorably signed by Dean Robertson, Chief Executive Officer of Phongsavanh Insurance (APA) Co., Ltd and Dr. Chanthala souksakhone, Director of National Blood Transfusion Center- Lao Red Cross.
Attended as a witness by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phouthone Muongpak, President of Lao Red Cross, along with Mme.Sengdao Bouphakonekham, Chairman-APA Board of Directors, and the management team of both parties.
On behalf of Phongsavanh Insurance, Mrs.Viengxay Praphasiri, Chief Administration Office said: “Giving blood is important to save lives of fellow human beings. We are proud to offer Personal Accident Insurance coverage to people support donating blood. Dr. Chanthala Souksakhone, Director of National Blood Transfusion Center- Lao Red Cross said “We would like to express our appreciation to Phongsavanh Insurance (APA) Co., Ltd to support the free Personal Accident Insurance and their efforts to help encouraging people to donate their blood and support the National Blood Transfusion Center- Lao Red Cross to achieve the target set out in the strategic plan to mobilize blood donation and distribute safe blood throughout the country, and also be a role model for other business sectors to contribute to society”.
After signing the Memorandum of Cooperation, members of Phongsavanh Insurance (APA) Co., Ltd. also contributed to donate their blood as well.
