Together with the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk and its External Expert, Dino SANTANIELLO – Head of Tilleke & Gibbins Laos, ECCIL EuroCham Laos hold a webinar in the topic of “Trade Mark Protection & Enforcement and Intellectual Property-Related Updates in Laos” yesterday 28th of April 2021.
Attendees from Lao PDR, Thailand, Singapore and other countries from the region and Europe have joined to learn more about the legal framework in Lao PDR.
Our Executive Director, Ayaka VU, after giving a short introduction of the Chamber, emphasized the relevance of this topic, given the current members base of ECCIL EuroCham, where SMEs account for a half of the members. In the effort of the Lao PDR to also support the internationalisation of its SMEs and with the development of the e-commerce, ECCIL EuroCham have seen the opportunity through this webinar to raise awareness on the legal and practical aspects of IP-related topics.
