We are happy to announce that the next SSC Breakfast Talk will be in Luang Prabang – and this will be a premiere because it’s the first official event organized by the new SME Service Center (SSC), which was solemnly launched by the Luang Prabang Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LPBCCI) in the presence of Mme. Khemmani Pholsena, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Khamkhan Chanthavisouk, Provincial Governor of Luang Prabang and Mr. Oudet Souvannavong, President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry on February 28th, 2019.

The SSC in Luang Prabang – in close cooperation with the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Lao PDR (ECCIL) – would like to invite you to join our SSC Breakfast Talk #3 on the topic “China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and its Impact on Business in the Lao PDR”. We invited key stakeholders from the government, prominent research institutions and the private sector to discuss how the Lao China Highspeed Railway will change industrial development, cross-border trade, tourism and logistics in landlocked Laos. Experts will engage the audience in a fruitful and constructive exchange about the potentials of the Lao-China Highspeed Railway, share policy recommendations and measures for Lao companies on how to maximize benefits for the Lao economy and if possible, share new updates related to this major infrastructure development.

Time:    07.30 am – 11.00 am
Date:    Friday, 7th June 2019
