Accountant – Operations
Contract type: Open contract Location: Vientiane Capital, Laos

This Position Description describes your role and accountabilities. It also includes key relationships, inside and outside MMG, and the skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours that are vital to your success in the role. At times you may be expected to perform reasonable additional duties that are related to your role but are not specified in your position description as directed by your supervisor.


  • Coordinate site feedback communications, regular telephone conferences with site BA, regular trips to site
  • Monthly reporting and ad-hoc reporting requests completed to key deadlines
  • Ensure all the financial activities are compliances with MMG standards
  • Responsible for detailed, accurate and timely reporting of activities in a way that shows the performance of the department in precise terms. (KPI reporting)
  • Work closely with Group Finance and Commercial team to deliver timely and accurate financial report
  • Ensure work is carried out in a way which maintains MMG’s reputation
  • Maintain high level of service for both internal and external clients
  • Support the development of Management Accounting Processes, and manage the performance reporting process
  • Liaise and coordinate with Business Services teams for the finance function
  • Support business analysis and benchmarking
  • Conducting analysis on site efficiency and capital expenditure
  • Actively participating in continuous improvement strategies in relation to exceptional quality deliverables to clients
  • Improving accounting reporting and internal management reporting to monitor performance of the business

To be successful for this role, you shall have:

  • 2 years of working experience in finance and
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or
  • Experience working with various functions outside of Finance or
  • SAP ERP advanced
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Effectively communicating with key stakeholders
  • Proactively seeking clarity if further information is required
  • Prioritizes work based due dates and agreed timelines
  • Analysis and application of relevant instructions or tax legislation
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
