| Burapha Agroforestry Co., Ltd is a Swedish/Lao plantation and wood products manufacturing company, with its own plywood mill, sawmill, and plantations. Established in Lao PDR in 1994, Burapha’s objective is to build a timber plantation asset in Laos large enough to be the core wood supplier for a major industrial operation. Burapha currently operates a sawmill/furniture factory and a new, state-of-the-art plywood mill, which commenced production in 2021.Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be supervising the technician’s daily work in maintaining and repairing the plywood production machineries. Monitor the quality of technicians works upon completion to ensures the repairs, maintenance, fabrication, and modifications are conducted to the highest standards. Maintenance Supervisor pre-plans the work schedules, conducts pre-start meetings and provides daily report of team performance and accomplishments to the Maintenance Manager. Calculates machine downtime, equipment efficiency, technician productivity, technical and warehousing issue to the Maintenance Manager. This is an attractive opportunity for an experienced local and expatriate maintenance supervising role in a growing business with an exciting future.While you will be based residentially in the Laos’ capital of Vientiane, you will stay at the plywood mill in Hinheup District, approximately 1.5 hrs out of Vientiane on a roster.Key Responsibilities: • Supervise the maintenance team to ensure quality of work is at the highest standard • Delegate repair and maintenance jobs to the subordinate technicians using work orders • Monitor technicians/workers efficiency • Reporting and tracking maintenance tasks against the budget • Implement maintenance procedures and work instructions • Regularly oversee work tasks carried out by the team • Support the team by providing guidance and training on job tasks • Logging of equipment in and out of warehouse and stock used for ordering purposes • Promote safety with the team to ensure all tasks are completed with the highest safety regard • Record repair and maintenance history of each machine and other maintenance related projects/assignments • Generate, escalate, and file incident reports • Generate other reports as required by the Maintenance ManagerQualifications / Experience: • A technical college certificate in machinery or electricals is necessary • Previous experience as a supervisor in a heavy industry, mining industry or factory is desired. EX-Mining Employee is a PLUS. • Strong knowledge about repairing of machineries and equipment maintenance planning • Organizational skills imperative for coordination with staff and allocation of job tasks • Proficiency in English and Lao language • Possess time management skills • Dynamic in approaches to breakdowns and can work under pressure • Flexible to changing work hours i.e., night shifts and weekends We offer a competitive remuneration package and a supportive and committed team environment.
