ECCIL, the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lao PDR, which was founded on May 9th, 2011, is the only officially recognised representation of European businesses in Laos, and since the closure of the French Chamber of Commerce here there are no chambers from member countries of the European Union left in Laos.
ECCIL strategic objectives
ECCIL has two major strategic objectives: advocacy to support the interests of its members and the provision of services to members and non-members.
Being a member brings a wide range of benefits. ECCIL regularly discusses issues of concern to the European business community and forwards their views to the Lao Business Forum and the Lao authorities. As a member you can be part of the discussions and make your opinion heard in the right places.
With regard to our services, members have access to information relevant to the business community free of any additional cost which is published and updated on our homepage. This information ranges from new or amended laws and decrees to economic developments and industry profiles.
For other services members will be charged at preferential rates compared to non-members.
As a member you get regular information updates and invitations to networking or information events and are in a position to suggest new services and activities to ECCIL which can support your business.
