ECCIL’s Executive Director, Dr. Ramon Bruesseler, in front of the Exportní dům at the International Engineering Fair in Brno on October 10th 2017
ECCIL was invited by the Czech Chamber of Commerce to represent Laos in a presentation about Laos and Cambodia at the International Engineering Fair in Brno on October 10th 2017. Brno, the second biggest town in the Czech Republic, is an important center of innovation in Eastern Europe and the hub of the Czech IT industry as well as the location of the biggest industrial trade fair or the country.
The presentation about business opportunities and the business environment of the Lao PDR by ECCIL’s Executive Director, Dr. Ramon Bruesseler, was supported by a brief speech of H.E. Mr. Marek Librřický, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Bangkok. It was attended by about 30 representatives of the Czech business community as well as high level representatives of Czech institutions like H.E. Martin Tiapa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and Mr. Vladimír Dlouhý, President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce. The event was followed by B2B meetings.
The conference was a first for a presentation of the Lao economy in the Czech Republic and not only an example of the growing activities of ECCIL in Europe in order to facilitate the entry of European SME into the Lao market. It was also a further step in the long and successful cooperation between ECCIL and EuroCham Cambodia.
