For the very first time – Lao Brewery Co., Ltd is organising Oktoberfest here in Vientiane!
Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer festival organised every year in Germany. Oktoberfest began as a wedding celebration of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen in 1810. All of the citizens were invited to the celebration. Since then, the festival has grown to include horse races, games, rides, music, and eventually beer. These days Oktoberfest is a 16- to 18-day folk festival running from mid or late September to the first weekend in October.
This year in Laos Oktoberfest will be celebrated 4 days in a row during 19th-22nd October 2017. The event will be held in the parking lot of the Lao National Cultural Hall from 6 pm onwards. Visitors are expected to enjoy different kinds of beer, along with different kinds of food, music, and games.
