Blue Chair
More than a free biennial film festival, Blue Chair celebrates Southeast Asian cinema and supports filmmaking in Laos. Operating as a non-profit cultural organization, the festival provides a forum for audiences to engage with contemporary Southeast Asian film and for Lao filmmakers to connect with audiences and their regional peers from 5 - 9 December in Luang Prabang. Throughout the year, Blue Chair provides community screenings, workshops for filmmakers, and administers the Lao Filmmakers Fund with direct grants for Lao film projects.
