Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV)
SNV is a global development partner, deeply rooted in the countries where it operates. The organisation is driven by a vision of a better world where across every society all people live with dignity and have equitable opportunities to thrive sustainably.
To help realise this vision, SNV supports transformations in agri-food, energy, and water systems by strengthening capacities and catalysing partnerships in these sectors. SNV also helps strengthen institutions and effective governance, reduce gender inequalities and barriers to social inclusion, and enable adaptation and mitigation to climate and biodiversity challenges.
Building on 60 years of experience, SNV supports partners with technical and process expertise and methodological rigour. The organisation works in more than 20 countries across Africa and Asia with a team of approximately 1,600 colleagues, adapting approaches to different contexts to contribute to impact at scale.
SNV has been present in Lao PDR since 1993 and established an independent organisation in 2003, implementing projects that advance sustainable development in the country.
