Joint Chamber Breakfast Business Talk Explores Doing Business in Laos and Launches Updated Market Entry Guide
On 21 August 2026, EuroCham Laos and AustCham Lao, in partnership with Acclime, brought together business representatives for the Joint Chamber Breakfast Business Talk & Laos Market Entry Guide Launch at S.N. Residences Vientiane.
The morning focused on the practical and regulatory considerations businesses need to navigate when entering, establishing and operating in the Lao market. The session provided an opportunity for participants to hear from professionals with experience across consulting, technology, business and government, while also exchanging views on the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Laos.
The programme opened with Hugh Darwell, Sales Director for the Mekong Region at Acclime, who shared insights into key considerations for businesses looking to enter and grow in the Lao market. His presentation also introduced Acclime’s updated Laos Market Entry Guide, which was launched during the event.
The presentation was followed by a panel discussion moderated by May Bissig, Co-CEO/Group Management Consultant at Inthira Group.
