One of the main strategic tasks of ECCIL is the promotion of the interests of its members. We engage in constructive dialogue with the Lao ministries and other Lao authorities to raise issues and voice opinions on behalf of our members.
ECCIL actively supports the Lao Business Forum and writes position papers on issues, developments and law initiatives which are of concern to our members.
However, we do not see our engagement as complaining or sheer lobbying, we rather intend to make a contribution to the investment and business climate and help to improve the business enabling environment. By providing substantiated analysis of and feed back to government initiatives we want to promote the economic development of Laos and thus support the Lao people.
One of the main activities of ECCIL is advocacy. ECCIL welcomes our members to participate and engage more in our advocacy forum sharing opinions on certain topics for advocacy. If you are interested to participate in advocacy forum, please contact ECCIL for information via +856 21 264330 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Currently we have 3 working groups, which are engaged in advocacy work in the areas of legal and tax, pharmaceutical and medicine and logistics. Below you can find ECCIL’s advocacy working groups and their contact details:
