The third regional TVET conference took place in Don Chan Palace Hotel, Vientiane. Raising the quality of human resources is one of the key challenges for businesses in the region, especially with regards to ASEAN Integration under the AEC 2015. Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) plays a major role in strengthening capacities and is a topic that really aligns the interests of businesses, governments and development partners. The 3rd Regional TVET conference was a major regional event that dealt with questions of effective labor-market oriented vocational training as well as with the inclusion of socially disadvantaged groups and people with a disability into the labor market. Guests at the conference were high-ranking decision makers from government, business and civil society from more than 20 countries.
