Unilever Laos honoured with ‘Top Business Leader for Year 2021 Covid-19 Response Award’
Our Member, Unilever Services (Laos) Sole Co., Ltd., has recently been honored with the national ‘Top Business Leader for Year 2021 Covid-19 Response Award’ by the Laos National Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the National Convention Hall in Vientiane. Several well-known local and international companies participated in the event held under the chairmanship of H.E. Phankham Viphavanh, Prime Minister of Laos.
The award was given to Unilever Laos in recognition of its outstanding performance and continuous efforts into assisting Lao Chamber and the government of Laos to overcome the difficulty the country has faced.
Amid the pandemic, Unilever Laos has achieved its business results with top performance and continued to provide jobs and economic development in the country. This led Unilever Laos to receive a certificate of appreciation on outstanding performance tax contribution to the Laos government in 2020.
Additionally, Unilever Laos has implemented various initiatives to support the government and the community in Laos. The initiatives include providing essential goods to the Ministry of Health (MoH) and frontline workers, 10 ventilators worth of 32,950 USD to MoH in combat with the COVID-19 pandemic, and over one hundred thousand sticks of Wall’s ice cream to Laos citizens and medical workers during the government’s vaccination campaign.
Mr. Dickerson Manampan, Unilever Country Manager of Laos had the honour to receive the award at the ceremony representing Unilever Laos as one of the 106 companies from 13 sectors selected from 4,000 companies in Laos.
