EuroCham Laos held the 1st meeting of its Hospitality Advocacy Working group in Luang Prabang on Saturday May 20, during a working lunch kindly hosted by Avani+ Luang Prabang Hotel
The event was attended by local hotel and tour operators, voicing their opinion on a set of issues they are currently facing in Luang Prabang ranging from flight and train travel accessibility of their clients, issues affecting the Unesco heritage area, slash and burn effects on tourism industry and improvement of river cruises facilities and regulations.
Members of the advocacy group welcomed this opportunity to unite their voices and working together towards the objective of promoting Luang Prabang and Laos as a tourist destination, for the benefit of both the private sector and the local community.
