From the 8th to 10th of June, ECCIL EuroCham Executive director Thiane Khamvongsa, participated to the European Business Organisations (EBO) Worldwide Network bi-annual meeting at the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium. The bi-annual meeting of EBOs Commission services. The meeting is organised by the EBOs secretariat and the EU Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, which is the organ responsible for EU policy on the single market, industry, entrepreneurship and small businesses.It was a great opportunity for the 38 present EuroChams from Africa, Americas, ASEAN, Est Asia & Pacific, Europe & Eastern Partnership and South Asia & Middle East to participate to global and regional discussion and share experiences, as well as meet with the different EU commission to initiate a dialogue, namely with the European Union External Action, the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments, the Eurochambres association, the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission which is in charge of implementing the common trade policy of the European Union, The DG INTPA for International Partnerships which responsible for formulating the EU’s international partnership and development policy, the Directorate-General for Environment responsible for EU policy on the environment and the Commission’s Directorate‑General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology which is responsible to develop a digital single market to generate smart, sustainable and inclusive growth in Europe.
