On 29th November 2018, the Lao Women’s Business Association, the European Chamber of Commerce and industry in Laos and the Australian Chamber of Commerce jointly organised ‘Female Leadership and Career Development’ Seminar in Mercure, Vientiane. This event is generously supported by AusAid.
Approximately 180 participants joined this event coming from different sectors: students from NUOL, members of ECCIL and Austcham, as well as members and guests of the Lao Women’s Business Association.
We had 4 successful Lao women as speakers for this event including:
- Chanthachone VONGSAY, Vice CEO of K&C Group, Vice President of LNCCI and President of Lao Business Women’s Association;
- Siriphone PHANTHAVONGS, Managing Director of ECME, Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering, MBA;
- Ms Soudaphone VISOUNNARATH, First Officer Lao Airlines, Airline Transport Pilot Licence, Ecole Nationale de L’Aviation civile, Toulouse, France;
- Ms Souphachanh KHANSYLA, Head of International Banking, ANZ Laos, Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.
Each speaker told their stories indicating their paths of success to inspire Lao younger generation. Participants were very interested in speakers stories and were very active during Q&A session. The Lao Women’s Business Association, ECCIL and Austcham would like to thank everyone who joined this event and hope that the seminar was informative and gave inspiration to women especially young Lao women to be successful in their work and life paths.
