One of the main strategic tasks of ECCIL is the promotion of the interests of its members. We engage in constructive dialogue with the Lao ministries and other Lao authorities to raise issues and voice opinions on behalf of our members.
ECCIL actively supports the Lao Business Forum and writes position papers on issues, developments and law initiatives which are of concern to our members.
However, we do not see our engagement as complaining or sheer lobbying, we rather intend to make a contribution to the investment and business climate and help to improve the business enabling environment. By providing substantiated analysis of and feed back to government initiatives we want to promote the economic development of Laos and thus support the Lao people.
